发言内容：
The A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts is the largest art museum in Kazakhstan and a leading scientific-research and cultural-educational centre in the field of fine arts.
The rich, diverse and invaluable collection gives a vivid representation about artistic culture of Kazakhstan, the countries of Europe and Asia, the masters of the past and present. The number of exhibits in the museum’s collection comprises more than 23, 000 pieces.
The Museum has 9 scientific and research centers:
Fine Arts of Kazakhstan;
Folk Applied Art of Kazakhstan;
Classical Foreign Art;
Contemporary Foreign Art;
Storage;
Restoration;
Exhibitions;
Excursions;
Information and Publishing.
The Museum is becoming a center for new cultural initiatives. Its wide contacts allow the Museum, along with permanent displays, to organise solo exhibitions by Kazakhstan and foreign artists, as well as the exhibitions from private collections that are of great interest to art connoisseurs (more than 40 exhibitions annually). A great interest caused the exhibitions devoted to the art of China, representing unique porcelain, silk weaving and embroidery.
The Museum takes active part in international exhibitions within the frames of various cultural programs. Museum’s projects have been successfully realised in the USA, Japan, Germany, Bulgaria, Belgium, France, Yugoslavia, and other countries.
